Itinerary

Travel

Start the day walking along the Alameda’s park, where you can visit its neoclassical statues, fountains and the impressive Juarez Hemicycle.

Continue the tour to the Palace of the Fine Arts which has an incredible architecture that perfectly combines two different styles, Art Deco and Art Nouveau. Built to commemorate the country’s 100 years of independence, one that would be among the world’s largest and almost rival the likes of the Paris Opera. Appreciate the façade, lobby and mural museum.

Cross one of the most important streets of Mexico City (Madero Street). Where you can appreciate different colonial and historic buildings, and buy mexican gold jewelry.

Have a delicious meal at the same time you have a great view of the historic downtown (optional).

The National Palace it is a must-see spot, particularly because of the Diego Rivera murals which tell the moving story of the country.

Tour Essentials

Weather, Clothing and Footwear

  • Because of its location on a high plateau and its high elevation (over 7000 feet) Mexico City enjoys mild, pleasant weather nearly all year.  It's winters, while cooler than the summers, are very mild. October through May is the city's dry season, this period having very little rain, while June through September is considered the `rainy season`.  Regardless of the season, remember to always carry a light sweater or jacket.
  • For sunny days wear a hat, some loose clothes and closed-toed shoes. The sun is strong in Mexico City.
  • In rainy days wear a jacket, closed-toed and slip proof shoes. You can bring an umbrella, but we can also lend a umbrella for you.
  • Make sure stay hydrated in this type of walking tours.
